Jungkook’s First Solo Tops Spotify in the US and Oricon in Japan for Two Consecutive Days

BTS’ Jungkook is breaking outstanding records in the global music market with his first solo single, ‘Seven.’

According to the latest rankings (as of July 15th) released on July 16th by Spotify, the world’s largest online music streaming company, ‘SEVEN,’ released on the 14th, was streamed 13,480,559 times in a day and topped the ‘Daily Global Top Songs’ chart for two consecutive days.

Jungkook also topped the ‘Daily Digital Singles Ranking’ of Japan’s Oricon (as of July 15th) with the clean version of ‘Seven’ for two consecutive days. The explicit version of the song ranked at number three.

Immediately after its release, ‘Seven’ broke records by dominating the top of music charts both domestically and internationally. Jungkook became the first Korean solo artist to enter the global Spotify chart and immediately took the top spot. He also ranked first in Melon TOP 100 (as of 12:00 AM on the 15th), the largest music website in Korea, and achieved the ‘fastest time’ as a male solo artist to set a new record.

Meanwhile, after the release of ‘Seven,’ Jungkook took the stage as the opening act for ABC’s ‘2023 Summer Concert Series’ and officially embarked on his solo career.
